Welcome to the
Diploma in Women’s Studies. This course has been
designed to be a practical, challenging and useful course
for women.
Below you will find information on how to proceed with the
course, how to submit your work, and the method of
evaluation used by the tutor. Please read the information
thoroughly and follow it precisely.
If you have chosen to take the complete course, you will
need to start with WS101 – Spiritual Formation because this
course is designed to last for several months. Once you have
started this course, you may opt to complete the following
classes in the order of your preference. Please follow the
submission instructions for each individual course.
If you have opted to take just a few select classes, please
follow the submission instructions for each individual
course.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Each submission must include a coversheet with the
formatting of the example given. (See page 3) This
coversheet will be the source of record keeping for the
college and for you.
Before you submit your work please check the following:

I have
reviewed and followed the course submission instructions
as given.

I have
numbered each page except the coversheet and the
bibliography.

I have typed
out and underlined the instructions from the module.
This should be the first thing on each submission.

I have
attached a completed coversheet to my submission. A
separate coversheet is needed for each module or
project.

I have
included a self-addressed, stamped envelope of
sufficient size. (if you are posting your submission)
Make sure the envelope is large enough to return your
evaluated material. Charges for postage and envelopes,
if not included as instructed, will be added to your
college bill.
All papers are
to be typewritten and double spaced using correct grammar
and spelling. Plain text (New Times Roman size 12) is the
accepted font. Work must be neatly presented and in
accordance with the submission requirements of each class.
If a student does not have access to a computer or
typewriter, permission must be gained from the tutor before
the first submission for handwritten entries.
If you are submitting your work by email, you must also
include a coversheet. Send your submission to
bbcgb1@yahoo.co.uk.
In the subject box please put your name and the name of the
course for which you are submitting work. Email entries must
follow the same format as hardcopy work.
METHOD OF EVALUATION
Grading is based upon following the requirements set out in
the modules for each course, a logical approach to the
material, answering of questions, and use of outside
resource material, ability to make application, use of
evidence, summarisation, cohesiveness of thought and
conformity to accepted standards of English grammar,
composition and documentation.
Please feel free to express your personal perspectives in
your work. The only requirements are that you employ a sound
hermeneutic, support your arguments with Scripture
references, and objectively represent any ideas with which
you differ.
Grading will be based on Pass, Merit and Distinction awards.
Please make copies of your work for your own protection.
Baptist Bible College will not be held responsible for lost
work.
TEXTS
It is the standard of Baptist Bible College to use the
Authorised Version in all class teaching. However, in this
course many of the text books use various versions. Though
you are free to study and refer to other versions, the
Authorised Version will be the required text for all
submissions.
